reminded me of Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night.

Somepony else has actually seen that movie? Oh my Celestia.

Anyway, my thoughts still stand... this episode was just AWWWWWWWWdorable. Watching Apple Bloom suffer both made me laugh and made me want to hug her at the same time.

And yes, I cracked up at the French too. As for figuring out things like why Lions were there, what happened to Cutie Pox in the past, etc... I've honestly stopped trying to figure out how logic works in the Ponyverse. It's just there.
