@Star: Which season is best is a matter of contention among the fanbase. My personal opinion is that overall the individual episodes are roughly the same level of quality, although s3 as a whole suffered a bit from being over so quickly. But I think that if someone shuffled up the episodes and showed them to me in random order (Excepting plot-relevant episodes like the Discord ones or the finales) you wouldn't be able to tell based on the overall quality. You might be able to pick up on the development in the animation, but the writing has always been about the same, with occasional outliers.

You could say it was Twilight's aura, being the more "powerful" aura, was overshadowing Rarity's during the teleport similar to how at one point in the comics Celestia & Twilight both magically pull a rope but we only see Celestia's aura on the rope.

...Totally saying its Twilight teleporting them both, though, since she's shown to be able to teleport others before.

The "Wink Teleport" is a signature spell that can only be learned by being a student of Celestia

I think there was an animation bump between seasons 1 and 2 (ROH counts as S1 for this purpose). They did change the aura colors at any rate. They've also added a lot more unique background ponies in later seasons.

Wonder if Sunset knows it.

I'll give it maybe 50/50 odds on whether she was Celestia's student long enough to have learned it.

I would argue that she would have used it to make her escape after swiping Twilight's crown if she knew the spell, but then again, Twilight never seems to use it either except in the rarest of cases.

Occam's Razor at work. We'd just have to assume more for Rarity to be teleporting in that scene than it would if it was just Twilight doing the heavy lifting.

It would be nice to know what Sunset's talent was. Trixie is great at illusion magic, and Twi's is obvious.

Maybe body modification and transformation given what she turned into with the crown.

Yeah, Sunset knows the teleport. She even pulls the same trick on Twilight that Twilight herself pulled on Nightmare Moon (charge then teleport past the enemy).

In fact, its the only spell other than levitation we see her use as a pony in the movie (she does this "make a plant grow to humungous sizes" spell in the prequel comic).

I have a feeling her special talent may have something to do with "sun magic". Maybe that's why she thought so highly of herself, she thought she was destined to replace Celestia due to having a similar cutie mark.

Yeah season 3 had about the same ratio of Great/Good/Bad episodes as the first two, it's just because it was half the size, it only have half as many Great/Good eps, and most of those happened to be clustered near the start of the season. With the latter ones being either having a low overall opinion of them, Games Ponies play, SAYS, or mixed reaction, AFR, JFSK.

plus the premier wan't as good as the season 2 two parters, though not really bad, still a good overall ep, just not as good as two of the best eps in the show. And the finale, not only the Twilacorn drama, but the universally admit issues with the pacing of it.

I still think of Kung Fu Panda whenever I hear about Sunset's disgraced former student status.
