Fahrenheit converts to Celcius at a different scale, depending on where it is. So 30C is like 90F, but -30C is -30F. IT makes it baffling to me people actually us Fahrenheit, because it must be incredibly hard to measure if the difference between degrees is different every time.

The thing that causes that is the fact that zero degrees isn't the same temperature on the Celsius scale as it is on the Fahrenheit scale. Zero degrees Celsius is based on the freezing point of water, while zero degrees Fahrenheit is based on the freezing point of a specific mixture of brine (if my research is accurate).

Yeah EG Pinkie is a twig...yet she's canon...le sigh.

It's not like Pinkie looks (to us in the audience) any chubbier as a pony. Blame super-consistent character models, I guess.

Well Fahrenheit is more precise, since the difference between degrees is smaller then on Celsius. Freezing to boiling covers 100 degrees in one, 180 degrees in another.

@Kyler: Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that the distance between degrees changes in the negatives. There's a point in negative where Celsius and Fahrenheit are interchangeable, and that's my issue with it.

Except it's not more precise since decimals are always an option. I'd far rather have a scale divisible by 100 than 180.

Plus Celsius is much more easily converted into Kelvin which is the scientific scale.
