Okay, I'. considering giving Punishment two Alternate Endings:

Ending Alpha: A normal ending that ensures that it will be with intergrated into the canon with few changes (For starters Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's Kindness grinding means that the events of one episode would be radically different.)
Ending Omega: A Bittersweet Ending inspired by the Passing the Torch discussion a while ago (speaking of which, can I use the quotes you made for that scenario ATC?). Kinda Book Endish too. it started because of Fridge Horror, this ending would end in fridge horror. (And will be more For Want Of A Nailish with regards to Season 3)

Thoughts?

Well I have some details for the outline of that ending. Omega is that the ponies defeat the Big Bad and ultimate save the day (again) but as a result of some event, the Mane Six has to vanish, becoming one with the Elements of Harmony to prevent the Big Bad from returning. But that happens in a few days after said Big Bad was vanquished, enough time for them to say their goodbyes and Pass the Elements to the fillies (and Spike).

So, might not be seeing any tropers that live in Florida anytime soon. Seems the government there, in a feat of idiocy, decided to pass a law so badly worded and idiotic in the first place, it bans all computers, smartphones, graphic calculators, and anything that could be connected to the internet from the state.

Also, go with the happier ending.
