@Kuroi: Pykrete pretty much has it down. Any given game can by anywhere from extremely low scoring to extremely high. I'd say the average would probably put both teams in the 10-20 point range, one or two touchdowns and a few field goals.

@Kegisak: That's definitely true, but I tend to be more forgiving towards it when compared to say, baseball, because most of the downtime is spent strategizing. American football is kinda like an RPG sport; you take a lot of time to determine your moves because each one is really important. Basketball and soccer would be more analogous to an action-oriented game, you're always doing something, but that something is often very repetitive.

I just got back from the Equestria Girls movie and I really liked it! I specifically went to it today because theaters tend to have less people on Sundays (or at least at the time I went, it wasn't that crowded) and today's my 28th birthday so it was like a My Little Pony birthday present for me. I went more in-depth on the thread for Equestria Girls itself because I'm not very good at knowing what's okay to spoil and what I shouldn't mention.

I also got the Elements of Harmony book as a present, along with 8 G3 ponies that my parents and I found at a flea market last weekend and we decided to wait until my birthday before they would join my "herd." Along with some other books that aren't related to the show so they're not really relevant here but they're also things I asked for or were happy surprises.

You got to see Equestria Girls and got the Elements of Harmony book? Sounds like a great birthday, Rainbow. I'm not envious at all.

I had a golf game for the Atari 2600. It had to have been one of the most boring and/or frustrating games they made.

@Syd: That's true. If I gave her any cake, I would probably have to make a second one just for her because one little normal sized slice would not be enough for Pinkie's appetite! Especially considering what she did to the MMMM which ended up being a mixture of the original MMMM, the mousse moose, the donut sculpture and the eclairs at the time she ate it all.

Golf is one of the most frustrating games ever made.

Other sports start to feel natural after enough practice. You may need to be taught the right way to swing a baseball bat or a tennis racket, but it just feels right and becomes second nature quickly enough. As far as I can tell, the proper way to swing a golf club never feels natural, and you have to make a conscious effort to hold the darn thing just right and move your entire body just right every single time.

I hope we get more mad pinkie eating action in season four.

Somepony should make a version of Pacman where Pinkie eats cupcakes in place of dotsl with the power-ups being giant cakes she can use to go into a sugar rush Super Mode.
