I didn't really follow VDC, but the general feeling I got from it was that it had an impressive scope, but it was a bit too big to keep organized.

Depends on how the zombie apocalypse starts. If one of them ends up turning fairly early on, the others might not fare so well, and the rest of Equestria would soon follow.

Fluttershy goes crazy and keeps a bunch of zombie animals in cages. She releases them when she feels threatened.

"Go my minions! Eat their flesh! Um, if they don't mind that is..."

Fluttershy would have a horde of zombie animals...

"I hated seeing them die so I chanted evil magic until they rose from the dead!"

Yeah I tried following Death Cruise.. it had a good concept, but things were just to random disorganized and hard to follow to really know wha the hell was going on.

Oh and per FOE, yes Zombie pegasi can fly, and also, with the proper training and enough radiation exposure pull radiative Sonic Rainbooms on demand.

Which provided my favorite moment in the fic when Derpy pulled one off. It was perfectly timed and was beautiful to read as a cure from all the recent hardship.

Oh yes, hey Dark have you read my liveblog of it? Pretty much pointed out how that was the greatest single moment in the entire fic. And that chapter was one of the best.

Yes, that was quite an awesome moment in the fic.

BTW, here's a random thought that came to my mind: Imagine if, instead of having Twilight become an alicorn at the end {Which would be saved for S4}, the S3 finale focused entirely on the Cutie Mark Swap instead. Then we get to the part where supposedly the mane 5 accidently vaporize Twilight...... And then a "To be continued" text pops up, followed by the usual happy theme song playing over the credits.

Just imagine how pissed we all would be, especially since we'd have to wait for S4 to premire before finding out what actually happend.

Oh my god, I don't think the fandom would have survived. But that would have been an amazing cliffhanger.
