@Apple: Regarding your injuries: When I did my upper body workouts last week I overexerted my triceps, and couldn't really bend my arms that far, or relax them all the way, or it started to hurt. If I tried to relax, I'd usually unconsciously stop somewhere just short of fully relaxed.

You've probably just overexerted yourself, and your muscles are hurt. Gently stretch them throughout the day, and they'll heal in a few days. If not... yeah. Doctor.

I've done that too. I'm trying to actually give myself some upper body strength, and given my cheapness, I did so by carrying cement blocks around. I now know that I should stop after half a dozen reps.

@Gwen: They probably started right after finishing season three. Making these episodes is a long process, and the first steps like writing need to start early. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some overlap with animating the end of season three and writing the start of season four.

Funnily enough, the only major 80s kid cartoon I haven't checked out is Transformers. I've got Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, the original Littlest Pet Shop, Dungeons and Dragons, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers, and a bunch more.

@Crow: I figured as much. I'm guessing that when season 3 finally aired, S4 was maybe 50 percent done-ish? I know it takes about nine weeks they said to finish an episode.

@dark: Is Galaxy Rangers any good? I know it and the show where I get my handle name share a creator and I've been curious as to where I can find it.

Plus, Gem had pretty good songs, especially for it's time when every toy-based show felt the need to tack on a song, no matter how rushed and poor-in-quality it sounded.

@Gwen. It's like Gargoils, but even shorter. Basically a well-written cartoon that went unknown and flew way over the target audience's heads. Sadly, it was canceled after the first season just as the hinted myth arc was starting up.

Still, the show stands up pretty well even today and there's a cult fanfiction group producing quality stories based off Word Of God info about the later seasons had they been made.

I remember the original Littlest Pet Shop cartoon, but past that I basically grew up in the nineties. My childhood was basically Animaniacs, Pokemon, Tiny Toon Adventures, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, Angry Beavers, Powerpuff Girls, and Dexter's Laboratory. Seriously, the 90's were golden age for cartoons.

So many memories...I miss that decade.

My childhood was The Puzzle Place and Bill Nye.

And after that, local television educational shows.

And a tiny bit of broadcast anime like Voltes V and Eto Rangers.
