Well, we're going to have to disagree on the topic of Lesson Zero as well (but I also knew that already). In fact, I considered Season Three Twilight to be too sane. It doesn't bode well how I'm supposed to identify with her in the future. How am I supposed to identify with someone sane and competent?

I considered Lesoon Zero too be the crowning moment of television.

I really find this sentiment hard to relate too. Yet more opposite opinions!

Twi's interesting because she's intellectually sane, but emotionally tied up in knots. I've always interpreted her as having a sugar and ice personality.

The weird thing is, for me at least, Twilight's promotion to princess struck me on an oddly personal level. Not in a bad way— I actually felt she became more relatable to me. I rewatched MMC the morning before I graduated and it occurred to me that both her and I are beginning new chapters in our lives. I know graduating high school and become a leader are two vastly different things, but still.

I dunno, that's just me.

On another note: I bet Discord has the best tea parties.

I am well aware that I am seriously disturbed. I use ponies instead of therapy because it's cheaper.

And I have spent my life discovering that I have new levels of suckitude. The things I'm good at are vanishingly rare and it's not like I'm particularly talented even among those.

Twilight is one of a few charaters whom I see in many ways as "like me except awesome". Yuuno Scrya and Thrice-Radiant Misho are also have this as particularly apt descriptions.

Even Kumagawa Misogi, the weakest man in the world kind of gives me hat feeling sometimes and he's a character who was basically designed to be made of suck and fail (he's also by far the most popular charater). Not only is he physically weak, he has no talents, no redeeming qualities, his life completely sucks, it's impossible for him to ever win at anything, his very existence revolts those around him ... you get the idea. (He's also awesome and hilliarious, but that's besides the point).

I didn't thinki college was really that different than highschool. The classes are shorter and more relevant and there's less pointless busywork, but it's still basically school. I think starting an internship for the first time is a much bigger change.

Though I think if came to it, Rarity is the most mature and sane of the Mane Six. Sure she has drama queen moments, but you don't have to dig far to find her real personality. She always has sensible advice and can balance between emotions and practicality.

Applejack does as well, but she lets her own pride and grit get in the way.

Though it's probably bias as she's the most unsympothetic member of the Six for me.

@Story: Content-wise it's basically just an extension of high school, but in terms of schedule an social aspects, it's very different.

Yeah, I found university very different from High School. In a way that made it superior.

Of course, most American schools are a lot more casual than the type we get here (like, every school has a uniform here, for instance), so the difference is more noticeable.

EDIT: By the way, Thrice-Radiant Misho also shares the position with Twilight as the only main characters that are my favourites. They're also both Twilights.

Speaking of which, if he's Twilight, Secret can be Fluttershy (unless Fluttershy is Blossom) and Marena can be Rarity. Pinkie'd have to be a Sidereal or Fey, but I can't think of any with an appropriate prsonality.

Just because a trait is less than desirable doesn't mean it's not part of who you are. The real question is whether you decide to change or accept that.

I haven't found the social aspects much different, but then again I have no life.
