Hey, folks.
Man, I was gone for a month
* I know, I am sure most of you didn't even notice
, and things changed here a bit. Mostly in terms of avatars. Also, man, 15, 000 pages already? Hot damn.
You know, as much as I hate to admit it, this show sure had a lot of influence on my writing. There are two works that go on in my mind,
Riverach and
The Cemetery Girl. The former is the one I wish to write, and the latter is what I am writing and trying to get published. So far it's 33k words and 80 pages.
In
The Cemetery Girl, the main character, Andrew Carson, is a brilliant, hardworking, but highly violent college student, and the whole book is about him making friends.
In
Riverach...it gets a bit more interesting.
It initially started off as a pony fanfic, an AU fic where everyone was human.
Then I wondered, what would happen if MLP was a sci-fi setting?
Then I wondered, what if Celestia was actualy a president?
Then I wondered, what if Twilight was a secret agent?
And then it just spiralled down and at some point I figured that I could make an original story out of this.
So now the main character, Mael Strauss, is a formerly law school graduate who got a job in intelligence agency. He then signed up for a super soldier/assassin training program, where he was the only one to pass. After carrying out assassination for three years he snaps and go rogue for two years, during which he goes basically a psychotic Batman with no resources. After that he is found, brought back to his country.
After going through intensive mental and physical therapy, he is sent to a small quirky town where he meets five friends.
tl:dr - Idea can evolve in a curious way and I feel like rambling.
