Equestria Prevails somehow makes ponies with guns kinda adorable.

For me at least, anything more complicated than a flintlock pistol would seem kinda off to me unless it was explicitly magical in nature.

Well, it's not like I want Daring to be a trotting armory, but just something stun or knock out enemies. After all, half her supplies are probably tracking equipment.

@JT: IIRC they have small watches in Equestria, so the mech of a revolver isn't too farfetched.

@Ace: Technically it isn't, but something about it just doesn't feel like it would fit very well into the setting. The only weapon we've seen that's more advanced than a spear is the Party Cannon, and even that is pretty primitive.

And yeah, I know they referenced tanks and bullets, but I'm assuming that's just artistic license. "Tank" could easily refer to some sort of siege engine, and "bullet" originally referred to any sort of ammunition, like you might have for a sling.

TL;DR: Any relatively modern firearm would, for me at least, break the immersion. A whip gives more story opportunities anyway.

I'll leave it the level of nifty nuclear powered 30s/40s gadgets. Maybe a few clockwork trinkets.

Personally I see more steampunk and magitek stuff being prevalent. Pressured airguns and Artificial Unicorn Horns (wands).

So just got done watching Terminator2. I don't think John was nearly as annoying as you make him out to be. Also, I was surprised by the lack of the mirror scene.

Oh, looks like the mirror scene was a deleted scene. As was the T1000's foot failing to blend in. For some reason the DVD I watched didn't even have deleted scenes.

Anyway, one thing I was confused by was Why did the machines have much better records this time around? How did they know about Dyson?
