Ad I'm back. I had to take a nap because I was beginning to pass out. How's work on the story, Apple?
I kind of regret going to sleep, though. I had a seriously surreal nightmare that began about work, morphed into some sort of political thriller scenario, and then shifted into surreal body horror.

I didn't say that it was entirely based on hype. I just said that as herd animals, their pop culture tends to follow one thing at a time. And that's just pop culture, not their society as a whole.

They do seem to go through multiple barns, plus the parasprite incident would have cost them a lot of money to fix the stuff the parasprites ate.
You're forgetting the generous government crop insurance.
Anyway, if they didn't really need the money, AJ wouldn't have insisted so heavily on getting the ticket.

The only thing I'm concerned about now is, it hardly seems like a Shonen series anymore. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing.
And the idea of the hero not being the captain is resurfacing again.
Also I had a thought about it and now I'm not sure if AJ would be one to do such a thing. It seems...OOC.

Don't worry about fitting a certain genre. I've had some trouble with my fic not going so well either, and I just pushed through it and kept thinking. Hopefully the guys on the fic thread can give me some help.

@Applelight: I've found that attempting to make your work conform to a certain genre only constrains you; just write the story an let it develop in it's own thing.

Yeah I'm trying to move past defined concepts and just do my own thing.
This lead fancy is nearly there. And the great thing is, I've a crew developed who won't even start appearing until like the third chapter onwards so there's still time to get them right.
It took a year but...I have it now. Thanks for the help everyone.
