What's up with the xbox one? I keep hearing that the unveiling was pathetic, but no details.

It's price is $500. And all they talked about was new games for it (no Kinect, yaaay), most of which seemed pretty generic.

And twice the audio cut on their game reveals, and one was clearly PC game footage as you could see a 'press backspace button' pop up.

I kinda felt like I'd have preferred they focused on other games than the ones they did, but I suppose I understand why they put the focus where they did. There were some interesting looking games, but only a few, and ultimately I feel like it was kind of a wasted effort, at least for me, because they didn't really confront any of the big issues with the Xbox One, and I don't have much compunction to buy it because of those issues. So all I really saw was some decent, mildly interesting games. Hopefully PS 4 is cheaper than it, too. Either way I'll probably just satisfy myself with my PC.

@CDRW: The games reveal today, or the console reveal itself?

Yeah, not a lot from the Xbox conference interested me. I kept switching over to other tabs.

On the plus side, I look forward to not buying all three consoles this cycle. I'm already out of space under my TV.

Of course they weren't going to deal with any of the big issues. We knew that since they cancelled all post showing interviews with the media a few days earlier.

Though frankly the final nail was saying they'd keep working with Xbox 360 - kinda tells me they're REALLY not confidant in the One.
