It works, I just feel like the mane cast were almost side characters in their own show. I loved the stuff in the train at the beginning, but once the Appleoosa ponies and buffalo took over the plot, I thought it wasn't as interesting. It didn't help that the conflict basically resolved itself without the mane cast really contributing anything.
I loved that episode too It's a shame little strongheart? doesn't get as much love

2. The pilot episode is good in part 1, but it goes to hell in part 2.
Would it kill you to at least
try to not act biased? We have Your Mileage May Vary for a
reason.
4. It doesn't give the viewer an accurate representation of the rest of the series.
It
does however showoff the mane cast's varied and well-thought out personality quirks.
5. Because Pinkie Pie runs around naked throughout. That might be a huge turnoff to conservatives.

Again, they only made it worse. It was clear several times that the buffalo were going to try and talk things out, but the mane cast ruined it

I like this episode, today even more than when I saw it first time.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

Spike is always right. Well, except for the owl episode.
^^Lauren Faust has a DeviantArt page where she'll sometimes answer questions, but I would guess that telling the people involved with producing the show that the info for future episodes is being leaked is probably a bad idea.

^Well, for one thing, Lauren's not connected with the show anymore, but she could still get in trouble for spilling info that hasn't officially been released yet. All she can do is give you her own fanon, really; the fandom's just more likely to accept hers as
Word Of God, even though it's only half
Word Of God as far as the actual show goes anymore.
