I think those are all more
Painting the Fourth Wall.
To outright break the fourth wall, Pinkie would have to turn to the camera and say "Incidentally, a happy Christmas to all of you at home!" or some such.
Man, that sounded pedantic.
What's this? A handsome family picnic woefully underpopulated by bees? A large influx of bees ought to put a stop to that!
So they crack the Fourth Wall long enough to wink at the audience, but never actually break it.
Like narration, fourth wall breaking requires a lot of subtlety to be funny, otherwise it's just annoying.
Which is why I don't have a problem with the fandom cranking up Pinkie's few moments of awareness. But most fanworks overplay it way too much to the point that she's just irritating. Same with her general wackyness. Most fanfics make her too blatant and in your face.

Well I'll think about it as I gut my folders of older work. Time to tidy up and clear space.

Hey, you have to know what to do if your sleepover is being bombarded by cannon fire. It could save your life.
I guess the cloesest they've come to breaking the 4th wall is Pinkie's "Hey that's what I said" in OAB. But even then it's possible that Twilight was reading her letter out loud.")

I wonder what other shows will come along and attract an adult fanbase?
After all, FIM wasn't the first. There was Word Girl which has a pretty decent fanart following and has a lot of college fans.

Oh, I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Every generation has a show like that. MLP is just the first one that erupted due to the internet making it possible for everyone to communicate.
I think it's also most noticeable for going against sterotypes.

@JT BTW about what i said about my fic having 20-0 chapters? I meant that it would have that much chapters when I'm done writing it. (Also that number might be tentative)
Come over to my
DeviantART. we have ponies.
In my experience it's extremely difficult to guess at how many chapter you'll wind up having. OF course, I write very much on the fly - I anticipated one story having five, maybe six chapters, and it ended with fifteen. My current story will have 7 or 8 chapters in the first half, and I can't even guess at the second, but it will probably be about the same.
Alright, I'll give JT's story a try.

Isn't the original point that she was hidden inside a suit and noone even knew she was female? It seems like some of the Zero Suit stuff is missing the point

Yeah, in the first Metroid. Over a decade later, it's not a spoiler anymore.

That's my dream. It's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor … and surviving.
