@Sereg, RE: Mustang: I think the point is that Mustang, , being the one with the big plans for the country and setting the major events into motion, is The Hero, whereas Ed's quest is frankly kind of inherently selfish, and he just happens to get caught up in the heroing along the way.

So, I could have the lead as a guy who just wants to see the world and explore, not necessarily lead the crew. So the captain of this ship is the one who wants to be the master (lead in a shonen goal right?) and the lead is just coming along for the ride. That make sense?

Yeas, that would be perfectly okay. It makes sense too.

EDIT: Woah! Woah woah woah! Please don't fight!

Sorry. I shouldn't have taken the bait.

EDIT:[up]I suppose that would be a valid interpretation. Might also make more sense in the maga or Brotherhood version (which I admit I haven't read/watched yet).

Now I'm wondering how a ponified Captain Planet would work :V

Well, the combining of different traits suggests he'd be an alicorn. Of course, pegasus weather control can do a lot of stuff that the wind ring could anyway.

Yeah, I don't know for the original anime, but in Brotherhood the political and traditional shonen plots are basically divided between Mustang and Ed. It's kind of an Aragorn/Frodo situation: Mustang is the one who brings the country around(From the looks of it - I'm about a dozen episodes away from the end), but Ed is the one fighting the Big Bad. Of course even then how big Ed is in the grand scheme of things is questionable - between Greed/Ling and Van Hoenheim, he kinda feels more along for the ride than anything.

Huh... that actually is pretty cute, once they get some decent proportions. I'd love to see the others in that style.

@crimson - While avoiding Hollywood Thin is admirable, she looks a bit stocky. Also, the way her waist looks in that angle doesn't really feel very natural to me.

@Sereg: Well, I was thinking more along the lines of a summoned Avatar formed from unified Elements or something. But yeah, he'd take the form of an alicorn.

@Kegi: Ah. Mustung is less important than that in the first anime.

Easily one of the best Clint Eastwood movies. In fact, it is my second favorite, the first being Unforgiven.

If people were making comments like that on say, a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon I can sorta see it, but Captain Planet of all things?

And why does Japan get better official vectors than we do?

Because the US/International side of Hasbro is lazy and didn't update the vectors.

Watching the dub for episode 6 right now, and I just noticed something I thought I'd share with you.

You know the part where Twi levitates the water tower through a barn, milking a bunch of cows on the way? Listen to the very last voice you hear from that barn in the dub.

It belongs to a guy.
