@Rhyme Beat: That reminds me that I can't wait for the Cadanceverse. Ugh! The author has already drafted the first story before releasing any chapters. We hav to wait for editting and stuff.

@Enlong: I'd say so. The residual magic held out for a year and then ran out.
@Applelight: I don't believe it is. At the very least, the Wikipedia page doesn't mention it.

i imagine big macintosh as being terribly socially awkward outside of the family farm. and completely oblivious of his mare magnet status.

The fact that only those two are magical at all. Even the multicolored horses don't actually have cutie marks.

Are we sure about that?
(You might be interested in the fact that donkeys and mules are quite important in one of my fanfics.)
EDIT: This. My headcanon is that donkeys and horses have their own memebrs of the Cosmic Council for a start.

There are certainly any number of OTHER magical creatures in the word, so it stands to reason.

I suppose. Though Cranky at least seems to be designed to be as non-magical looking as he can while still fitting the show's art style.
Speaking of headcanons I think I have a decent one about the Crystal Ponies.

Have we seen any non-pony creatures using magic, though? Spike can certainly use magical fire and the cockatrice can use petrification magic. Hmm, I am not sure if I should consider breathing fire as magic.

@Rhyme Beat: what is this crystal pony head canon? i'm interested in hearing it.

We've seen Zecora do magic, obviously.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

I was going to say that she never did, then I remembered her refilling that cup of tea (or whatever) in Magic Duel.

I have a G3 related question? IMHO I don't think the g3.5 designs looked that bad they were OnModel to a fault but they don't look as bad as other people make them out to me. On the other hand the Newborn Cuties toys are Ugly! As! Hell! So tell me, do you think that people confused the newborn cuties designs for G3.5 do do they have other issues with g3.5? (and thereare a lot)
Griffons also fall under the same rule as Pegasi - that is, for their wings size compared to their body mass, they must utilize some degree of magic in order to obtain flight.

Going back to that Cracked article, I found this comment amusing:
I have done my own statistical analysis of My Little Pony and concluded that I need more friends.
Heh.

Plus Griffons can stand on clouds. That counts, right?
I'd say so... we've also seen other, 'regular' birds standing on clouds. So either it's a holistic kind of magic among flying creatures, or a law of physics in this universe that clouds are much more bouyant.

Everything is magic.
That's my dream. It's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor … and surviving.

Hey everypony, how you guys doing?
@G3. I think a lot of people who never see them mistake the newborns for the 3.5 norm, and though I'm not a big fan of the retool from 3, from what I can tell they're not that bad. But for some reason a lot of people also assume 3.5 is the same as 3 and end up confusing all of it.

Thanks for answering dark. Does anyone else think that people mistake the newborn cuties for G3.5?

Maybe it would be a better idea using this thread for discussion? It doesn't get as much love as it does, but some new posts would help revive it. It seems like some G4 fans don't like discussing previous gens though i could be wrong.
