Well, that is interesting.. but, yeah still don't really have a care about the dubs. I mean what's the big deal? tere are other languages it's been dubbed into, why is the Japanese one such a big deal? I just don't see it.

Because many of us are, or at least used to be, huge anime nerds.

@Seraphem: It's also the fact that the Japanese dub is one of the very few that's actually bringing in big name V As and pushing the show heavily. It's a much more high profile dub than most. The other thing is that Japan is probably the largest potential audience that hasn't already been largely involved in the fandom. Most other large markets have already either gotten dubs, or just watched on youtube in English or something. Basically, a Japanese dub means that the show is potentially getting exposed to a decently sized untapped market.

@Seraphem: All of the above, and far more effort is going into the localization and voice-acting than most other localizations. That's what I'd imagine, anyway.

Okay I get all that, that it's a big deal for the show and all, just still.. just don't care at all about the dubs themselves.

Then again I'm also someone who doesn't give a fuck about subbed or dubbed with anime. I just, don't care. It's the same story, as the actual episode, I don't get how simply being translated makes it some new thing to go nuts over, beyond the idea of it being pushed into a new market with such care.
