I notice that Sora Tokui has some accent in her Applejack voice. I can't tell if it is a regional adaptation for Japan or if she trying to imitate Ashleigh Ball's fake country accent.

Found it. Amazing that it's been over a year already.

So, I picked up volume 5 of the comic, as well as the Twilight and Rainbow one-shots, recently.

Few quick thoughts:

1: I kind of liked Luna's description of what happened to her. It wasn't some possession-against-her-will thing, so much as it was a bunch of evil spirits tempting her with words.

2: Did anyone else think, for the first 5 pages or so, that the Rainbow Dash story was a dream sequence? I mean, the narration was like "hey! Here's the Wonderbolts! And here's Rainbow Dash! She's awesome! Woo!"

3: Sometimes, I fear that the comics might be relying a little too much on in-jokes.

4: The Twilight story was really nice. It was a cute story with a nice resolution.

I like that about Luna. It fits.

@Some New Guy: What's the deal with Bitterness?

Its yet another "Twilight's friends were bad and they should feel bad" fic, but instead of presenting both sides evenly and being heartwarming like Nupitals, its 100% a Hate and Accusation Fic full of angst, character bashing, exaggerations of what actually happened, and Twilight acting completely out of character just for the sake of the Author Tract.

Yeah, I have to agree with you. A Canterlot Wedding is still my favourite episode. And that is not a light statement to make considering what it has to compete with (When Lesson Zero came out, I considered it the crowning achievement of television and Hurricane Fluttershy felt like it was made for me specifically).

A Canterlot Wedding also marked the highpoint of this thread. We had something like 2700 posts that day.

@DS 9 guy: I'm fairly certain that's Sora's attempt at a redneck voice. That accent is about as close as you can get to "hick" in standard Japanese without switching over to a completely different dialect.
