In one future episode, I want Twilight to be constantly revered by everyone she meets, and then she realizes just how hard Celestia has it sometimes when it comes to establishing close personal relationships.

And in that episode, I want Twi to be in a rant about how ponies worship her all the time, and Celestia has this completely deadpan look on her face, like "Like I don't know what that's like."

If that marks a sea change in that relationship I definitely want it to happen.

The Crystal Heart Spell touches on the issue a bit. For most of the book, Twilight squirms every time anypony calls her "Princess", though she gets over it by the end.
