I was 21 when these ones died, and I still cried. Due to a sense of failure as much as loss.

Had goldfish as a kid too. Cried when they died too.

Oh, yes, I remember I had terrapins once when I was really young :3 we ended up releasing them to a terrapin pond at East Coast Park and they lived a good life there getting free breadcrumbs. I think they're still there.

I dunno I prefer pet cockatiels to pet goldfish.

And I prefer Dogs and cats over either of those.

Warning: losing a dog after 13 years of ownership hurts to the core.

2 goldfish as a kid.

As a young adult I had zebra fish, corydoras, a red finned shark and tetras.

Let's see, my family has had a budgy, four goldfish, two yellow ringnecks, two cats, two ducks, a rabbit and some dogs. Most of those are dead now.

Birds seem like they'd make neat pets. Clever, and depending on the breed very long-lived. They make as much friends as pets, from what I hear, especially the big ones like parrots and cockatoos.

I dunno how high-maintenance they are, though. Seems like it'd be a lot.

Speaking of pets and friends I made a visit to the Build A Bear Workshop

was a bit of DELICIOUS CHAOS trying to get them. And no, I have no clue how they got that way

For the price the plushies are well worth it, Although I would stay away from the sound chips.

Rainbow Dash proudly announcing ponies sometimes call her Rainbow Crash and Pinkie Pie follows up her little comment with a rather creepy laugh

Once I actually get a (new) job and some money, then I'll hunt down some minky plush material. For now I'll try using my felt to make a pony plushie of some kind :V

Also I found out about Scarlet Blade and wat. Maybe I'll stick to Ace Online ._.

Kegi: Well, you have to keep the cage clean, keep the food and water stockedkeep it it from getting bored, clip its wings, stuff like that.

But yeah, most birds are fairly intelligent and long-lived for their size. Typically flying species live for around ten times longer than non-flying animals of the same size.

I'd love to have a parrot, but that's way to expensive and high maintenance.

Although teaching it to say "Help! He turned me into a parrot!" would be totally worth it.

Regarding pets, I have a cat who must be at least 15 by now. I think she might have dementia. She keeps doing weird things.
