@Ed: It might be because you leaned a bit hard on the butch side there. Some people take issue to that kind of thing because they think it reinforces stereotypes or something. I wouldn't necessarily say that, but I do think she looks rather boyish compared to your versions of Twilight and Rarity.

What's your guys thoughts on OC's in fanfics? The only way I can see myself writing one is if I went with the blind pony that was suggested a while back. I just don't want to make him or her too much like me that it's a direct translation from author to character. I think that's cheating.

I followed a series of OC shipping fanfics a while ago. I think my recommendation's still somewhere in the Fanfic Recs pages. So you can guess I have some liking for them at least.

I just can't think of much my character can do. I have no idea why he or she would be in Ponyvillel, or anywhere else with one of the Mane Six. Perhaps start with a background pony? I've never written a fanfic before so it feels kinda weird being in someone else's universe.
