Heh, in my head, Trixie's so much more cute when she's fat and lamenting.

So far, those train ponies are the most badass E Ps imho, along with Mac. We just need an ep. showing how strong, tough and durable they are.

I've said before, I think they could be disease resistant.

You mean aside from the earth ponies going toe-to-toe with buffalo easily three, four times their size? Like Carrot Top, leaping on top of one and riding it down? Or the mare who decided to have a boxing match against another? Or the fact that they were throwing apple pies hard enough to drop rampaging buffalo?

That said, it was still the only chance they've had. Earth ponies have physical prowess on their side, but that's hard to see in the setting, for the most part. Like I said, they just aren't as flashy.

He's not saying that earth ponies haven't done awesome things. We just haven't had an instance in the show where it's been explicitly stated that being an Earth Pony is an advantage in certain fields. With Pegasi and Unicorns the advantages are blatantly obvious

Word Of God tells us that they have passive magic.

This hasn't been told to us in the show though.

pretty much. As Keg said, they're under represented. AJ is by far the least used pony, and Pinkie is so removed from being an EP that she might as well be a different race altogether

Well, we got two Mane EP's, one is by far the strongest of the group and could pretty much take any of them in a fight, the other has displayed Reality Warper level power at times.

As I said above, Pinkie is so far removed from ANY OTHER EP we've seen that I don't think she works as a representitive of their race

Yeah, but a speed based one. On the other hand, AJ's back legs are far stronger than dash is ever going to be... come to think of it, they were probably evenly matched at hoof-wrestling because neither of them ever work their front hooves.

Not the point, regardless of the justification, AJ hasn't been allowed to stand out from the cast in any significant way.

okay she has, but as I mentioned a few pages back, she's yet to earn a CMOA (by this site's standards anyway)

TS, RD , AJ represent their race best.

Rarity is not skilled in magic but in fashon and gem thing, PP have her Pinkie Sense and Rule Of Funny powers, Flutershy is weak example of pegasus but could be great example of Earth Pony (but since there is no proof of her being half breed we can't use her as example).

Okay Twilight and Rainbow are something more, TS have mega power level amd RD can do Sonic Rainboom, so AJ need something like this.

I suppose one could consider Applebuck season to be her standing out, in a way. She did over half their orchard, which is huge all by herself, not to mention helping out in other places. It isn't as explicit but she does show ridiculous levels of endurance there. Most people would hardly be able to move after doing as much work a she did, but she just kept on going.

Ginger: What about the giant cake that she super speed baked at the Gala?

EDIT: Well, okay, I guess that doesn't hold up to CMOA standards.

This stuff could be balanced if FS was Earth Pony or half EP.

Only if she could use it as weapon agains monster or villain.

It's a fact that AJ can easily match Dash in ground based phyiscal activity, and actually surpasses her in some. Fall Weather Friends proved this.

She was a second faster around the barrels (but lost because she was penalised for clipping one), massively outdone Dash in all hind leg events (remember Dash actually had to sit down after witnessing AJ's kick), and in the race, AJ could easily pull ahead.

Dash was very worried looking at times when competing against AJ, and also remember that she was really impressed at AJ's skill in stopping the stampede (which I highly doubt she could have done).

the effect is lessened because it's presented as a BAD thing for her to be doing that by herself. In the other CMOA character eps, they've been the ones to solve the problem in the end

dash also had to use BOTH of her legs to ring the bell if I recall. AJ used ONE and utterly smashed it

BTW That's to AJ or other (exept RD) dediqordinations whent smutly. That was smart move of Twilight to begin with Apple Jack.
