I whant see Trixie again, in whatever role (protagonist, antagonist, neutral, but not villain). I hope it's true that she will apear again.

True, she kinda got woken up in the middle of the night by it. But she's also demonstrated a pretty wide range of spells, even if they were always low-grade. Extremely fine telekinesis, weather manipulation, transmutation, illusions - granted, we don't know how easy or difficult certain kinds of magic are, but all of those seems like they'd either require a lot of power (like Twilight has) or a lot of technical skill. We also have to keep in mind that Trixie is a show-mare. She has to be skilled, that's the job description.

And personally, I like to think that her real talent is just illusion. Everything she does can be attributed to telekinesis, the universal magic, and lights and sounds. Of course, Weak But Skilled is also one of my favourite tropes, So I may be pushing it onto her. But there is still evidence for it.

She could use her magic to be Pony Ninja :D

Sky Strike, Trixie didn't show any signs of hypnotic abilities. Or else she'd just hypnotized the mane 6 too.

He claimed other people's credit and wiped their memory. This is mass hypnotism. There was a Fantastic 4 villain with a similar power.

The Mane 6 were watching, so if she performed a mass hypnotism spell, they would've been affected too.

If Twilight's description of how magic is tied to a particular unicorn is taken at face value, Trixie is in the very least much more versatile than any other unicorn out there (barring Twi, but that's because all magic is open to her).

One bit of fanon I like is that Trixie was Celestia's student, but when Twilight had the uberpowersurge, Celestia abandoned Trixie in favor of Twilight.

Trixie talent is magic but not same level as Twilight.

I don't think it works like that.

Even though I have no backing for it, I have a feeling that Trixie's talent is STAGE magic. She can do anything that'll make her look good on stage. Flashy, but not all that practical

I can see that, given her variety of spells. I agree with though, because most of her spells revolve around illusion and big flashy things.

Haven't we been over this already? My theory is simply that Trixie's special talent is performing. Thus, when she's on stage and doing spells solely to impress people as part of an act, she's extremely skilled. When it comes down to actually doing practical stuff that doesn't involve all the flash, she's much less skilled.

Sad when you realize that Twilight could probably emulate all of Trixie's spells and do them better if she was given the time to learn them

I guess she still wouldn't have Trixie's stage presense though
