Alright, here's the deal...the islands founders did a great favor for King Leo. Their reward was to be given the secret of coral making...which they used to create the islands...they are now 'dwarf' ponies with a sea twist, laying down new island bed as needed...making stuff out of coral...think of them as 'land' sea ponies. They're E Ps btw.

Since then, others have arrived. The dwarf ones are like the natives...and then there's little towns of new settlers.
