I'm gonna second what Syd said, Apple. Periods of intense self-doubt, even as far as hating what you've done, are sort of the package when it comes to making something. In a way it's good - the fact that you care so much shows how much enthusiasm you have for the project.
I like his blue-coat-red-mane colour scheme, personally - the vivid colour being an accent rather than his dominant colour works quite well. I like the general idea of the manestyle, though I'm kinda meh on the execution itself. It might just be you're bouncing around so much it's difficult to tell what you're aiming for with his character. Which is actually very reasonable. A lot of the concept art you'll find in games or of movies tends to be along a similar track, but as someone who has an inside view I can tell you the artists tend to go through a lot before they ever narrow it down that much. I've seen the same final character have some pretty crazily diverse concepts before they finally pin it down.
