I can see what the other's are saying, Apple... that said, I definitely see what you're going for - a sort of rough-and-wild 'barbarian' type. Which is pretty neat, although I wonder how well it would mesh with your other ideas.

assuming you're aiming for a shaggy mane... it might be worth noting that horses mane's naturally grow in a mohawk. Not that the show's do all the time, but still worth noting, perhaps?

She was at the toyfair with some of the Mane Six also wearing masks. Probably just a theme for the toyline. Maybe the girls attend a masquerade ball in the Season 4 premiere.

Yeah if you cut a horses' mane short it will look mohawky, they don't start to drape down the neck until they reach a good length. Tails are interesting too since there's actually a bit of length of tail inside of all that hair, if you shaved the hair off it'd look like a Rhino's tail. Here is an image for reference

◊ So tails cant be super short or they'd have to cut off a bit of their tailbone.

By the way, is anyone else really happy they're going back to 26 episodes? I mean, I know it's more strain on the production crew but 13 this season just made it feel kind of...rushed.

Update on Unicon

for those who haven't seen it yet.

Okay, I'd understand a Vegas hotel shamelessly gouging with hidden last-minute fees, but "ignoring payment" is something rather difficult to get away with. To say nothing of claiming the guests were paid but stolen from by their agents — half the guests didn't even have agents. And then there's the matter of con staff just vanishing when it went pear-shaped.

While the hotel probably didn't help, I'm still leaning toward scam.

I'm happy to hear that S4 will be 26 episodes. I agree that a 13-episode season felt too rushed. It doesn't seem that long ago at all that we were speculating about the Crystal Empire, its ponies and King Sombra.

Oh! Idea... Twilight becoming an alicorn is a big deal. Even if Celestia & Luna were regular ponies, their "ascension" happened in the ancient past. There was a big coronation to celebrate Celestia's unicorn student is now an alicorn.

What if...somepony, now knowing that's its possible to become an Alicorn in these modern Equestrian times... wants their own shot at Alicornhood...

Man, I'm just gonna spend the whole season break thinking Sunset Shimmer is the next big villain.

I prefer red Batty with a blue mane. I'm definitely liking this mane style.
