Okay, so there was roughly 7 months gap between season 2 finale and season 3 premiere.

Do you think the gap would be longer this time? I am guessing probably yes, 26 episodes and all.

People sure do seem down on this episode. I generally despise musicals and I still liked it.

Should be about the same.

Yay Continuity, BTW.

My guess, the S4 premiere will cover the "what do I do now?" aspects of it.

And yeah, I'm not looking forward to all the inevitable RUINED FOREVER complaints. I just hope that if it bugs them that much, they just drop the issue and go elsewhere rather than hanging around to complain about it.

I liked most of the songs, yeah.
Won't be online for a while due to the holidays. Stay safe, happy and warm!

Yeah, I liked the episode. I haven't felt so much warm fuzzies since Cadance and Shining's wedding ^^

I liked the songs. It wasn't the songs itself but there were so many of them; I am not fond of musical episodes in general (the only exception being My Musical.).

They showed the results pretty dang well, IMO, during the third song.

Okie dokie loki, I dunno how they're going to keep the series running with such a grand finale. Twilight is a Princess now. They can't honestly expect her to run a country and still get into silly slice of life trouble, can they?!

The songs were friggin' amazing though.

Don't mess with Ninfia. You can't handle its awesomeness.

I don't know what I'm doing. Shut up.

Ok, could someone break down what happened in the end? I gather the elements burned away her original body and recreated it as an Alicorn? So where were she and Celestia then?

It was a good episode, just not a great one. It had a lot to go over, and I jus feel like we could've spent a lot more time on the switch than we did.

Story-wise, I think it's very well done. Even the pacing seems okay, especially if I compare to the pacing of the last three episode.

Right now, I think it's because the musical numbers divulged a lot of information without making it information-dense.

Like Twilight didn't even have to ask or consult or discuss, the other ponies just sang out right away what the heck was going on.

As a story-telling tactic, I really like that.

I really liked that. I can't think of any big problems off the top of my head. I wasn't too excited for it, going by the summary, but it was really great.

And yup, most of the EQD comments are "AWESOME" "Trust the writers, they delivered" a few "good but rushed" and the expected "Twilacorn is crap wa wa wa wa" people but they are fairly small minority
