It was weird seeing Celes with an actual crown.

The most surprising thing in this episode was the return of Sofa and Quill Stallion.

True true friend was terrific in the context of the episode.

I honestly felt like a kid again watching that episode. A happy kid.

Okay, I was a bit skeptical of the ascension thing, but I think it worked for 2 reasons:

1. Twilight's character seems totally intact. When she asked if there was a book about how to be a princess, I lol'd.

2. She's fully aware that without her friends, she wouldn't be there. She ascended with their help, not purely on her own merit, and she gave them the credit for it.

Can we say now that E Ps do have super growing skills?

I mean...how long did fixing SAA take? It was a mess and then...back to normal

I hope she keeps the hair.

I wouldn't necessarily say that she died. We really have no idea WTF was going on there. Celestia was in the same place, and she's alive.

Fuck...Twi died...and was remade...where have we heard that before?

I think that Twilight was physically sent to some sort of ethereal plane.

I'm guessing that season 4 would involve Twilight's duty as Princess of Magic or something.

Okay, Littlest Pet Shop actually had a joke I laughed at. You guys know how weirdly proportioned the humans are, right? I just saw a part of the episode where Blyte tried to fit through a hole in the wall, couldn't, and yelled "CURSE MY FREAKISHLY LARGE HEAD!"

Hey, Chada, reading your post I just now remembered what it looked like. That was actually really creative XD

Twilight, still a unicorn, appeared in the starry night sky, then Celestia showed up to talk to her. As Celly spoke about how much Twi had accomplished, scenes from prior episodes appeared and hovered in the air around them. At the end of their talk, Twi was enveloped in another blob of magic, and she was zapped back to Ponyville. There, she finally had her wings.

One thing I thought odd: when the elements blasted Twi, it looked like midday. When Twi reappeared as an alicorn, it was almost night. Thematic appropriateness (Alicorn Twi making her appearance at twilight) aside, it implies that, from Ponyville's perspective, Twilight was missing (presumed dead?) for at least a few hours.
