@Dark; there are three general approaches when it comes to cosplaying as ponies I've noticed.

1) Translating a dress or outfit (ponies do wear them occasionally) to fit on a human. The Gala dresses and Wonderbolt uniforms are quite popular.

2) Coming up with your own ideas of what a humanized version of a pony would wear. More like a character themed outfits then full on cosplaying, but this is the most popular approach I think.

3) Full fursuit, walking on two legs.... Not very common. Just looks kinda weird.

I agree with Japanese Teeth that this spinoff will be child friendly. Do anyone else agree with her or him and why? Also if this is real do you think there will be a teaser for this right after the last episodes of season 3?

I don't see fursuits as worse type of cosplay than other ones.

@Story: I did not know that. That's really interesting.

So I stumbled into an ask blog called "Post Crusade", about the CMC after they get their cutie marks. The art is nice. And also the drama.

It would be kinda neat actually if they gave some teaser or info regarding it right after the season finale right afterwards to show what's next. Hasbro probably isn't talking too much about it now officially because they may not want to mix up the hype and focus on what's coming in the Season Finale.

Also, I was focusing on the common general approaches to cosplay. I was wondering if someone would point out that Celestia one...

Post Crusade is good. Cutie Mark Diaries is also good. It's a what if where Rainbow, AJ and Rarity formed the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

No clue. I'd assume so just because I find it hard to believe hasbro would do something else. I've given up trying to predict corporate behavior.

@Death: I personally prefer non-fursuit cosplay. Even as a kid, people in animal costumes (such as sports mascots) creeped me out.

[up] [up] And that's why I never go to Disneyland. If it wasn't the nightmarishly terrifying rides, it was the creepy people in costume.

[up][up] Would you mind not posting the same question over and over again like a broken record? It's getting rather annoying.

I've said it probably will be. I mean if the TV Movie is going to air on The Hub, it kinda has to be family friendly in general. Whats the darkest, edgiest thing the Hub has? Transformers Prime? Reruns of Batman The Animated Series?

Hasbro is smart enough to know if they make it too dark or edgy they'll get way more controversy and backlash than turning ponies into humans. You can make the argument that the comics are darker than the usual MLP fair, but that's just because of a few moments with Chrysalis and certainly isn't inappropriate by all-ages comic standards.

My parents got me A Death In The Family when I was little simply because it was Batman. I have Robin's bloody corpse scarred into my mind and I have an irrational fear of crowbars. Thanks mom and dad! [lol]

Hasbro just wants to break into a new market they currently don't have a toyline for and want to use My Little Pony for that. And you know what, if this can enrich and improve another market with positive female role models, than more power to Hasbro.

Really the biggest concern regarding this new series is that it might take away Hasbro's focus on Friendship is Magic. We could lose a few good writers and other staff to it. On the other hand if Hasbro isn't paying as much attention to Friendship is Magic that may allow the show to get away with more. Like maybe an honest to goodness story arc.

Well season three came close. Plus with the big change, they can't use the "must be able to watch in ANY order" excuse.

They've already had minor continuity since the beginning of season 2.

Not a big fan of what the did to Twi, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash if that supposed artstyle is true. Otherwise the humanizations look a lot like some of my favorite fan based ones so I am good.

They had minor continuity in Season 1, remember the Grand Galloping Gala "arc"?

I'm not sure if I'd like the show getting too continuity heavy. I do like that episodes can stand on their own and you don't have to know what happened in the previous 5 episodes to understand what's going on. More continuity is good, but too much can be a bad thing I think.
