@ Poke, we have no clue. No details at all have been released, and so far all we have is speculation.

I want know if children will be able to watch this show.

I really think that's overstating things; I only know of one or two sites that claim that, and they're both so ridiculously over-the-top that I'm not sure whether they're serious or not. I mean, one of their arguments that it was evil was that the creator was named Faust and must be evil because Faust made a Deal with the Devil.

As somebody who's actually studied theology pretty extensively, I feel pretty safe in saying that there's nothing morally objectionable about the show from a Christian perspective. The only thing I can think of is that group that has issues between fantasy and reality who get up in arms over the presence of magic in the setting, but that's an extreme case of a Vocal Minority.

There's no reason to think they wouldn't. I seriously doubt that Hasbro would use their MLP property to tackle any controversial issues.

It's a given that stuff like that is a Vocal Minority, the question is just how crazy they are and how much of it is trolling.

Hasbro has stated the new MLP IP will be marketed to teenage girls and up, and the TV Movie is part of this new IP.

This would imply they might explore slightly more "mature" themes like romance, but I very much doubt its gonna have stuff like sex & drugs or something. Its not gonna be Clone High with ponies (as awesome as that would be)

If this shows how the girls deal with romance, I'd be happy. That'll be another aspect of their characters explored.

The Hub belongs to Hasbro, no reason to assume it won't air there. There's only a TV Movie coming at the moment, which means it might not air on a Saturday morning. We'll know in the future.

Well Let's compare (again since you seem to miss my initial post) The spin-off with the competition:

Monster High: take a wild guess. Novi Stars: Green-Skinned Space Babe

Now note that the latter are aliens and the former are monsters. By this trend Ordinary High School Students would be a poor match up. Meaning that Hasbro would make the girls kenomomimi(Think Dog Days) or Petting Zoo People (Think Sonic or Star Fox) but not completely human.

Also note that some of the shows Disney makes are Urban Fantasy (Wizardsof Waverly Place, My Babysitter's a Vampire, etc.). If Hasbro wants to compete with The above 2 then Anthropomorphism is the way they'll go.

Christian fundamentalists tend to think that all forms of magic is Satanic. One website's argument is that if you have a special power that's not coming from God, it must be coming from another source, therefore it must come from Satan.

Magic is Witchcraft! Witchcraft is Satanic! Friendship is Witchcraft!

I assume that's the train of logic.

Also, forgot to mention that Lauren Faust herself said that her own Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls all have the same body type so you can swap out clothes for the dolls. The perils of trying to make a Merchandise Driven franchise...

Jeez, that's not the kind of thing one wants to see on arrival.

All I want to know if younger children will be able to watch this new spinoff. Isn't Monster High for teen but children can watch that show. Can this new show be still rated TV Y or TV Y7. Kingdom Hearts is aimed at teen and up but children can play those games because it is rated E and E10+ and rated A All Ages in Japan. Want other show are aimed at teen but rated TV Y, TV Y7, TV Y 7 FV, TV G? It not going to be G.I Joe: Resolute all over again is it?

@Koss: And they always seem to forget that that's only an issue when it's portrayed as something you can do in reality, as opposed to only being there in an original setting with a totally different cosmology from reality.

How well is the Galaxy Girls doing? Exceedingly well I hope?

As far as I know it's been kinda sideline while Faust works on other projects. It's basically her personal pet project. I'm pretty sure it has a website and dolls, but hasn't been made into a show or anything yet.

If it's possible, I'd get some.
