It looks like a regular coin. Flip it once, there's a marking of a hoof on that side. Flip it over and there's a marking of a wing. Flip it over again and there's a marking of a horn. Then flip it again to get to the hoof side.

I've probably asked this before, but can I get some Derpy fic suggestions just about her? No Doctor crossovers, no shipping fics, just examples of her personality and characterization. For all the talk and love for her, I've rarely found much about what she's like.

Hmm the single best, non-Doctor Derpy fic I can think of is Shipping And Handling

It does have shipping, but, well, it's complicated. DERPY, isn't shipped. it's about her losing her job as a mailmare, and applying for a new "shipping" company that opens up in Ponyville. It's basically Derpy playing matchmaker. And is another plot running, several actually. That come to a head, and well, just read it. It's damn amazing.

I recommend A Friend for Derpy Hooves. It's quite dated, but still VERY heartwarming. First fanfic I ever read, actually.

.......Well fuck. Now that you mention it, I can't think of many fanworks that don't mention her relation to other ponies. Outside crossovers and shipping, there's the many works that focus on Derpy being Dinky's mom. Bronies love seeing Derpy as an awesome mom for some reason.

Fun fact, Derpy & Dinky have never been shown next to each other in the cartoon. There's a brief moment in "Sisterhooves Social" where they are both on-screen at the same time, but there's a fair bit of distance between them. Derpy & Amethyst Star (Dinky's canon sister from the same episode) have been seen together a few times (one particular moment is Derpy's "Gasp!" in "Green Isn't Your Color"). Derpy was also one of the spectators in "Sisterhooves Social".

Ah, connecting dots with Background Ponies - proof that I have too much time on my hands.

I'll second Shipping and Handling. Derpy does have a love interest, but it isn't the focus of the fic.
