Come to think of it, if the crew had managed to spot the actual Ms. Harshwhinny from the get-go, the Crystal Empire would have bombed just as badly as all the other cities.

I really liked Chickadee. She's so cheerful and adorable, sort of like CMC. Come to think of it, while she has a rather old voice, her appearance and mannerisms wouldn't make her out of place among M6.

Regarding the latest episode: Yeah, I'm kind of with Carciofus here; I don't see how being given a secondhand account of a staged welcome from someone like Peachbottom (who, while nice, is also rather excitable) overrides a shitty welcome, rude reception (remember that throwaway line about 'First hello all day'?), and being splashed several times by inconsiderate ponies. If Harshwhinny hadn't explicitly said that she was sick of getting the staged welcome tours and was looking for something real and unvarnished, I'd be more willing to accept it, but her real and unvarnished experience sucked!

I just learned from the Word of Saint Paul page that Celestia's favorite music is 80's metal. This is now my headcanon, no matter how spurious the source.

Multiple cast members are on record as saying that the stars represent her parents, but I do not recall anyone saying anything further than that.

Again, symbolism is a tricky beast.

Before "Baby Cakes", Ponet was the most likely candidate if only because he's a unicorn with a similar color scheme to Dinky, but since a pair of Earch Ponies can have Unicorn & Pegasus children, Ponet has been all but forgotten.

I still don't understand the popularity of Time Turner/Derpy. Is it just because she'd make a funny companion for Doctor Who crossovers?

A little of that, and I think a little of trying to explain why she was in certain flashbacks, fully-grown.

Mostly because Derpy is just such an awesome companion. for The Doctor.

Also, because Whooves is the Doctor's last name and Hooves is Derpy's last name; so maybe they are married. That lets us make up our own maiden names for Derpy; and my personal choice is "Doo", as in, her original name "Ditzy Doo".

Also, I don't think that that the three types of ponies can breed with one another; or have babies of another's type. Or else, what would a pegasus-Unicorn hybrid look like? What about an Earthpony-Pegasus or an Earthpony-Unicorn? And then you get into all sorts of weird breeding shenanigans. I just think that the cake twins are adopted.

Then explain why the girls were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Cake at the newborn babies area of the hospital.

(Actually, why were they all visiting? Because Pinkie Pie dragged them there?)

Remember that Doctor Whooves is a Fan Nickname, it used to be Doctor Whoof before Whooves somehow became more popular (around the same time he started getting shipped with Derpy, I think). And he's not the Doctor.
