I'm glad I watched spike's part before, that's the kind of episode I would dislike even more if it was after "games ponies play"

thinking about it, "games ponies play" had the "fake inspector" plot that displeases me (and the conclusion), but overall it had good jokes and cadence moments.

Hm. a non-canon one-off? While I'm still not convinced a HS AU would actually add anything, the fact that it's self-contained makes me mildly curious.

While it just being a one off movie makes me more hopeful than if it was an entire spinoff series, I'm still annoyed. When we first heard about this movie everyone assumed it was going to actually be about the show. I'll still watch it, but I can't help but be sad that we aren't getting 66 minutes of pony.

So, it's a sure thing now that the movie we're getting is the AU thing? I'll admit that while I'll still give it a chance if it doesn't affect the show proper, I'd still be disappointed. I mean, the movie could have been something like one of the two-parters, but with enough time to actually avoid most of the issues those two-parters always come across! It could have been epic!

@ Irish: As far as I know it isn't. As far as I know it's a guy on Tumblr who knows a few guys who work at Hasbro who allegedly told him.

So, I'm gonna wait for an official announcement before claiming Discord's Starswirl.

Dear Thread Manor...

we have a lot of adventure and action today, some in the form of crossovers! Crossovers first, then the original stories.

My Little Chrono Triggers are Magic

- in progress. When Rainbow Dash attends her hometowns Millennial Summer Sun Celebration, she meets and befriends a strange pink pony. Then, when testing the newest invention of Dash's best friend, Twilight Sparkle, the pink pony is sucked into a strange portal. Dash and Twilight embark to rescue this pink pony, and things will never be the same...

yep, it's Chrono Trigger with ponies. RD = Chrono, Twilight = Lucca, Pinkie = Marle, Rarity = Glenn, Fluttershy = Robo, and AJ = Ayla. The only thing that bugs me about this story is that everypony is lesbian. Twi Dash, Apple Do, and AJ and RD are both magical lesbian spawn.

My Little Naruto" Friendship is- WHERE AM I!?

- in progress. Naruto dies. Death, however, decides he should get a second chance for being such a unique individual. What Death doesn't tell him is that this second chance won't be in his own world or his own body. Shenanigans ensue.

the story is amusing enough, but while there's hints of one I, can't actually see any long range plot goal. oh, and ship teasing with naruto and Twi. I'm sure that will anger some people.

Mother of Invention

- in progress. AJ wakes up all alone on a deserted island. She doesn't have the slightest idea how she ended up there, but she's going to have to put her outdoors skill to the test if she wants to survive.

It's just AJ and only AJ. there's very little actual dialogue. Makes for a fairly interesting read.

The Discordian's Daughter

- in progress. When Twi, Dash, Pinkie, and Mrs. Cake take a tour of a house of an ancient Equestrian alchemist recently opened to the public, they make a startling discovery. They discover a secret basement and find that this alchemist was secretly a Discordian, a follower of Discord. But more importantly, they discover a young mare, the alchemist's daughter, who should be long dead but is somehow still alive and remembers nothing past when she woke up not too long ago. How has she remained alive so long? Why was she locked up in a hidden basement? What did her father do to her? And is it really safe for her to stay with Twilight while she unravels this mystery?

Just wait till you hear her talk!

my favorite form this batch would have to be the The Discordian's Daughter. an interesting story so far, I can't wait to see where it goes!

Its not a sure thing, there's a image floating around, and someone on tumblr claims its from the TV Movie. Its still all rumors at this point.

Hasbro did say the new IP is part of the My Little Pony franchise. It can't be Galaxy Girls cause Lauren Faust owns that, she's not working with Hasbro anymore and she's busy with Wander Over Yonder.

I think it makes less sense if the TV Movie were a one-off thing. This is Hasbro we're talking about, you don't just make a TV Movie meant to sell a bunch of toys you don't plan on continuing making. A Theatrical Movie, maybe, but not a TV Movie. Of course, if it was the pilot for a tv series, you'd think they would say so instead of announcing it as a TV movie.

Its all very...strange.

It could be sort of like a pilot movie. Like they just make a special for it, and if response is good they order a series based on it.

That at least had pictures of official winged Twilight plushies. Literally all the solid info we have a the moment is that one picture and a trademark that could refer to other stuff. Everything else is "I know a guy".

@Story: JFS spoils some elements of GPP. It shows the cast being upbeat as they get back on the train, so we know that their trip ended well, and Spike's appearance under the seats at the end is a funnier joke if you don't know why he's there. If you've seen JFS already, you know what's coming, and it isn't as funny that he's inexplicably in the train somehow.

Yeah, with a full 26-episode Season 4 in the works now, we probably wouldn't see a theoretical "Equestria Girls" series until late next year.

Would be kinda funny if at the end of the TV movie Twilight Sparkle just wakes up, looks around to see the remains of one hell of a slumber party, and remark "That was the weirdest dream I ever had"
