You mean that him literally launching every mare in ponyville into the air in Lesson Zero doesn't qualify as Super Strength?

I'm pretty sure he's physically the strongest pony in the series, except for maybe the princesses.

Even then, we've never seen Celestia doing anything physically tough, just being really strong with magic

Lesson Zero, he sends about half of Ponyville over the horizon with a single kick. Yes we're exaggerating right now, but it's all in fun. There's a reason the Memetic Badass trope exists.
