That score is the final total of two written assignments, a test and general contribution. The test was worth 50% of this total mark, the two assignments were 10 and 30 respectively, and contribution was also worth 10.

So, if you did exceptionally well on the test and got 70%, that would be 35% to your total. And your total must exceed 40% to earn a pass. 40-49% is a level 3. 50-59% is a level 2.2. 60-69% is a 2.1, and is generally what we are told to aim for. 70%+ is a level 1 (a first), and gets you on the honors list. I almost got on that one time.

Regarding the end of G4 i did some searching and found the following out:

G1: the TV Specials started in 1984, with The Movie in 1986.
G2: Tales though not a part of G1 aired concurently during it in 1992 (I don't know the start of G2 but I knew it ended in 1999)
G3: The line and specials started in 2003 and ended in 2009 almost one year before...
G4: Aka Friendship is Magic which started in 2010 and hasn't slowed down since.

With these years in mind I have reason to believe that we won't see the end of G4 until 2018 at the least.

Technially speaking, My Little Pony Tales is not G2, its part of G1. Just not in the same continuity as the Dreamland cartoons.

G2 is the only generation without a cartoon. Has a video game, though.

I wonder if SA brought any of his old officers with him when he became Prince of the Crystal Empire? He probably has to train an entire new guard from scratch, considering that the Crystal Ponies almost certainly don't have anyone with experience among them given Sombra's rule. It would be a monumental task to do by himself, and that's without taking into account the other responsibilities he must have.

Well I guess they get points for using Cheddar instead of that American crap.

As far as the Sims2 thing goes, it's a funny coincidence. In the Sims2, each Sim has an 'aspiration', their main goal in life. Possible aspirations include Fortune, Romance, Knowledge, Popularity, ... and Grilled Cheese Sandwhiches. Yes really.

Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Honestly, I prefer American to cheddar. Cheddar's just way too sharp for me.

Nah, it's just that some goals are bigger than others. They basically run the gamut from becoming President to just reading a book. Whenever you achieve a goal, you get a new one, and you have several at one time.
