Oh, funny-ish story. Not hugely related to anything that's going on, but I thought it was interesting and wanted to tell it before I forget again.
So, at my work my team has a communal chat that we have going all the time - ostensibly for communication of issues, but mostly we just use it to faff about and troll each other. Today, nearing the end of the day, my lead posts in the chat: "[Keg], are you a Brony?"
It spawned a rather large and drawn out discussion based on me defending the show and the notion that a show can be clever and intelligent regardless of it's 'intended' audience and I eventually managed to get him to concede that yeah, a cartoon being made for kids doesn't preclude it from being genuinely engaging and clever. Until...
Lead: "...unless it involves ponies. That's the line"
He was just trolling of course, and the rest of the team responded with an amazingly ambivalent 'whatever, it's a show'. Still, I thougt it was kinda funny. Even got my lead to email me the show popularity statistics. To which I responded by sending him
