If you believe the official trading cards, he's a glorified time-keeper. "...the pony responsible for keeping Ponyville's clocks in sync, setting the hourglass for cider competitions, and pretty much all things timey-wimey."
Personally I don't see the fascination with either him or with this Derpy pony.

Well, I suppose the fascination with them is that in a way, they're ours, particularly Derpy Hooves. If not for bronies, Derpy Hooves as a character has no reason to exist. The googly eyes were a mistake, an animation goof that likely might have never shown up again, and perhaps even her as well as far as showing up again, for that matter.
I love
Doctor Who and I am very fond of
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but I don't see the connection. :-/
Apparently he resembles David Tennant (supposing David Tennant was a pony). I'll take your word for it.
Though that does bring up an interesting question. What would MLP Daleks and Davros look like? Cyberponies? Silurians? The Master?

If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot right now.
If Sweetie Belle isn't a stunner when she grows up, I would consider it a great failure of the universe.
Sweetie's going to be Rarity's assistant when she grows up.
And Rarity will never sell anything ever again.

@Calnos But pony who was in scene with RD at beginning of Last Roundup could be other pegasus like Raindrops.
@ Eagal Every time Darvos and Daleks for Doctor Whoof are bringed up I like to think about that genotical (technically only their King) penguins from first show. Yes Kaleds would penguins and Daleks would be mutation of them and shoot freeze ray.
I love Doctor Whoof, he was one of thing what keep me interested in series before I become fan and regular watcher. And I will forever headcannon him as real 10th Doctor in pony form. Also I like to belive there other Doctors here too, but fans can't agree what Doctor any of them represent (one is similar to 5th Doctor and last Masters).
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
How long do you think it'll be before they make FIM into a
Trading Card Lame?
I bet the victory points are different ponies and you have to collect them to score friendship, or something. Or you can
attack other players to
drive away their friends and

Set in the Equestrian Civil War? Or was it called the War of the Three Tribes?

@crowlover: yeah, but a tcg is a way more profitable type of
Merch than plain ol' cards with pictures on 'em—you get people who buy them for the pictures/flavor text AND people who actually bother to play the game.
Same amount of paper, double the money.
