Yeah those are variant covers (says so in the links), they tend to be more expensive. For collectors and all.
I've been sticking to the regular covers so far, but a lot of the variants are pretty.

I bought the first two at Hot Topic as a package for around $10 total, I think it was. One of the covers features DJ Pon 3, and the other features Derpy Hooves and Time Turner, or "Doctor Whooves, " as the character was originally called by fans.

Honestly I'm surprised I haven't seen any Doctor Whooves-as-Radagast fanart, since he's played by frickin' Sylvester Mc Coy. I guess if it was David Tennant it'd be different.
The diamond dogs are dwarves (Rover Barkshield?) thanks to the comic. Dwarves mixed with David Bowie.
I don't know what to think anymore.

I think most Doctor Who fans these days aren't as familiar with the older series and might not make that connection. I didn't realize that until you mentioned it. Besides, we've already got a pony that is a perfect match character wise.

106 episodes (Or is it 105? It WAS 108 but they found 2 or 3 more.) and they are all from the first two doctors. Everything from 3 onward is preserved.
And while no full video has been found, all of them at least have a full audio recording of them.

Unfortunately yes. British television was not that good about saving all their shows back in the day. I mean what are they going to do, package all the episodes together and sell them? Who'd even be interested in that?
It is simply crazy to me that this show is missing more episodes than most shows have.

SF Debris has a simply AMAZING little 3 part review detailing the entire history of the lost episdoe, why they were lost, how, and the attempts at restoring them.
And reviewed of every single story arc with missing episodes.
and yes anything the concerve him is pony related becuase he got me into Pony
