After watching the videos, I still can't tell why people are saying the barrel is bad.

Dot: In "Putting Your Hoof Down", he was able to throw Fluttershy out of the houseāso either the Rule of Funny is in effect, or Angel is stronger than his size would imply.
I'll bet Angel does all the non-combo hits in Fighting is Magic.
I can't do this all on my own.
I'm no Superman.

The problem with the barrel is that it's literally the only one in the entire game that functions differently from the others. All the others are there to bounce off of, and it's never indicated anywhere that holding down will cause it to move. If you happen to hit the button you can get past it easily, but if you never think to try using that move (since nothing else in the game does that), you'll be stuck there for a while.
Basically, to move the barrel you had to alternate pressing up and down on the control pad to get it going. It sounds really intuitive and obvious when you hear it, but there is no other point in the game where you need to do anything like that, and most people assume you need to get it swinging by jumping on it.
We got ninjas up in here.

I get confused as to where the show draws the line at rule of funny sometimes.

That Barrel?
Ahahahahaha There's a funnier way to bypass it - Use the camera zip bug exploit (Scroll the screen vertically so the barrel is offscreen, then have Tails airlift you through it, since the Barrel has no collision detection while offscreen!)
Take that!
Anyways, for those of you needing an episode fix, this Saturday I'll be hosting at Same Pony Time again :D We'll be watching It's About Time.
@Applelight: The show really doesn't draw the line anywhere. It's pretty much up to whoever is working on the episode that week to figure out what it's going to be.

@ Mio
That's true I guess.
But I wonder how 'real' some of the wackier stuff is supposed to be. Like Pinkies rocket of happiness for example...did that really happen, or is it all in her mind?

Good lord people, the barrel wasn't that bad. I mean it was bad, but not "I heard about this without ever playing the game" bad.
Well I heard about it without ever playing the game.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Watched it. It was OK. Not that much insulting, and kinda funny (I really liked "Equstria? Is that Star Trek thing?") I wonder if they cant have show characters mentioned, or just don't care or do made up names just for jokes. Maybe it that show MLPFIM have that character as Mane Cast.
But I see wasted opportunity for joke. If that guys was dressed as Shining Armor and said he is brother of Twilight Sparkle - that could be much funnier.
BTW Zodiac Ponies, so cute.:D
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
