@Hourai: Yeah, pretty much. He's just so used to doing more academic work (organizing stuff) that he isn't as used to doing menial labor. Either that or he's so used to working at the library that he doesn't really have to think about it much, and that lack of thought carried over even when he started doing stuff he wasn't used to.
I thought the episode made it quite clear that the Code was something Spike himself made up. I mean, he even introduces it as "Spike's Dragon Code", and he has this cute little crudely drawn card for it. Definitely not something every dragon would have.
@Lurker: Clearly it's something Spike wants to culturebomb the Dragon race with, in hopes of making them less jerks.
@Lurker: Kind of interesting how as the episode goes on they seem to treat it as an actually thing that Dragons have rather then something he made up. Must of been pretty compelling on his part.
Wait, has the episode played already?
Its actually kind of cute that they all take this seriously and play along. It surely make sup for that whole "ignoring" him from season 2.
@Ace: Ah yes, the Spike/AJ ship tease.
This episode lacks the amount of shipping I expected. I am disappoint.
Insert something witty that makes me better than all of you, here.
Oooor Spike told Twilight that and she believed i.
I have a message from another time...
Like I said, maybe dragons have their own individual codes for these situations.
@Blissey: IIRC traditional Dragon lore says they tend to make some rules or geas for themselves to live by, and it is srsbusiness to them.
