EDIT: True. FOE isn't actually grimdark. Just dark. And it is an in-character action. He may be awesome, but he's hardly "nice".

Well, all I know about Fo E comes from what others say about it and the recursive fanfics, and the Dwarf Fortress mod. Speaking of which, the Zebras are lucky they haven't been added yet. I just know I wouldn't resist treating them like the original elves. Which is, to say, Video Game Cruelty Potential given solid form.

yeah, you fuck over him or somepony he cares about, he will END you. Forgot the way that thing ended. Though can see it from his POV betrays her friends, get caught, managed to escape capture, and then comes right back to keep spying. She escaped once, why risk it. he's a soldier, she's an enemy.

Yeah FOE is pretty much the antithesis pf Grimdark. some o the fanfics of it......yeah not so sure.

FOE also provides a far Lighter and Softer Equestria for pre war. An Equestria where they literally have no concept of war. It is super dark when the war starts however.

It's funny because he'd agree!

And yeah, I can understand why he did it. It wasn't the right thing to do, but it was understandable.

Also, I get annoyed by how people rag on zebras. They've bought all the propaganda. I am totally on the zebras' side.

Let's see, clone discussion and fallout equestria? Yup, I'm with Syd.

(On a side note, the only aspect of the clones in TMPP that bothered me was how trigger-happy Twilight was. Clone sentience debates aside [not getting into that again], Twilight really should have been more cautious about that. And now I'm off for dinner.)

With me it was never so much a problem where I hated the zebras so much as I hated what the author had done with the zebras. Admittedly it stopped being too annoying once Xenith joined the group. I don't actually have a good nickname for her. Well, I have one, but it isn't exactly concise.

Lopiny: That's not really a great to way judge something. It does have its fair share of typical extremely cruel, grimdark type moments, but the fic as a whole doesn't have that element of total hopelessness.

And the Zebras may have made some dumb moves, but Idiot Balls were rather liberally being passed between all of the characters, so it's not fair to single them out.

Not really. nopony or Zebra really did thing that require an idiot ball. that would require doing something that they normaly would be smart enough not to, and only being idiots for that moment. There mistakes were all becuase of their own already established blind spots, flaws or lack of knowledge, not just being idiots for that moment.

Yeah, stuff like this is why Fallout Equestria doesn't interest me. I like dark stuff just fine but that's not really what I watch My Little Pony for.
