Diamond Dogs' voices remind me of 80's Spike's voice. Which is another reason I like FIM MUCH better. Scratchy voices are grating.

Awwww I liked their voices.

In fact I was on their side more than Rarity's in that episode. The poor sods never stood a chance against her whining

Well she tried to be civil with them. She was perfectly content to guide them to a bunch of gem caches, provided they let her go afterwards. They just had to get greedy.

That's why I think they have a chance at trying to be good. But, like they ended up getting greedy in their episode, they'll probably screw everything up. I hope they get redeemed like Twilight in Winter Wrap-up.

Personally, I love the head dog's reaction after Rarity says "Did you just call me a... MULE?!"

I like the idea of the Diamond Dogs as sort of rough-around-the-edges halfway decent guys who just have no tact and are horribly incompetent. Like they admit that kidnapping Rarity was a dick move and they want to try doing things legitimately now. They're still incompetent, though.

How might the D Ds be reintroduced?

Suffering because of a gem draught?

It seems to me that they're like fantasy dwarfs and gold. They just...need gems. There's no logic behind it.

Y'know, I agree with that.

Watching the ep. again, they seem to be coming off as grr, we're really scary! Do what we say or else, grr! types. They seem to be upset at (supposedly) upsetting Rarity. Fake dangerous, if that makes sense.

The enforcers made the mistake of jumping into the ponies backs.

The leaders seem to be very cunny and crafty. Their goons just seem like dumb muscle.

x5 Yeah, they dispatched the mane cast pretty easily, and if Twilight didn't know Rarity's spell, they would've been lost too. Most villains didn't require the Mane 6 to dispatch them.

D Ds working for a Dragon? Yeah I could see that.

I once had an idea for a fic, were the dogs were conquored by a very powerful warrior of some kind who made them into his lackleys. They treat them so badly, the mane cast step in to save them.

Anyway, having former antagonists pleading for help could be a good way for the show to teach forgivness and reconcilliation.

what's gonna happen when Gilda shows up again? And how's Dashie gonna take it?

I kinda hope Gilda becomes neutral. Antagonistic, but willing to help out if RD's in trouble

They're both still friends... technically. They didn't break up or anything. Gilda even said: "Give me a call" She'd be perfectly willing to hang out the second RD contacted her. Dash is the element of loyalty. I'm sure she'd be loyal to ALL of her friends
