And yet there don't seem to be any pegusi in the Apple family.
Cloud Chaser apparently popped in there for some reason.
Cloud Chaser? Totally missed that one.

@ Lurker: Sometimes stars are just stars. And that's what I'm sticking with. Because that's what makes more sense to me.

What happened to that little green filly? In the last photo she was younger than Applebloom, but I don't see her among the kids now.
@Crow: That's what I'm saying! She's one of the adults in the final photo!
You can't expect me to be fine.
I don't expect you to care.
I can't find Fiddlesticks in the family photo. Does this mean she isn't family and was just hired to perform for this event?
Mmm, all this pony discussion has made me hungry. Time to go about the rest of my day. Its been fun gents, thanks for all the laughs.

@Bad Normal stars, maybe, but shooting stars are almost never not symbolic. But fine, you can think whatever you want. I'm not entirely sure why you don't like the idea, since you think that the parents are dead anyway.
Sometimes I wonder if the showrunners throw in these little inconsistencies deliberately. "Haha, let's see those bronies puzzle this out!"
I see the Apples had a fun time.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
@Bad: Those were actually part of the plot, they were viewing a meteor shower. Its different from when they show up for no real reason, multiple times an episode, and two of them when there are two missing members of the family.
@Bad They were a plot point in that episode. That's the only real exception.
