@Ed Seems more in character, really.
"You must face your fears. I was trapped in a symbiote's grip for a thousand years...
and the world just fuckin' watched..."
The metal of your chains is no match for the metal in my veins.
@CDRW that comic is great.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Welp, the dream's collapsing.
Scoots! Don't go out at night! There are Creepers!
And she's fallen into a river. She is so dead. And her body will never be found.
DarkLine, bitches.

Of course, if Scootaloo were any other pegasus, that scene would have played out very differently.
That would be running a punchline into the ground.
I have a message from another time...
@Ed Say that to the pony back in Read It and Weep, who had the radiation burns.
Just kidding, he died.
And the friggin' moon is talking to you, Scoots. I'd do what it says. We want to avoid the Majora Incident.

What a way to go.
The metal of your chains is no match for the metal in my veins.
How does one die of glomping?
Trauma from the weight of too many people?
Excessive pressure from a grip too tight?
Shme to the point of taking a cyanide tablet?
I have a message from another time...
No! You die of love!
And the weight.
And the pressure.
And Rainbow, if she was sane, would freak out that Scoots wants her to basically adopt her.

But then you miraculously survive, go nuts because of the effects of a poorly-synthesized cyanide capsule, and swear revenge on
MI6... wait. Wrong show.

So, in the Steveline, Rainbow joined the Air Force to prove that nothing scared her, even death, and supersonic dogfights.
Of course, she also drinks a lot.

Good point.

@Lurker: At least someone will take over her mantle someday.
Holy shit, that river is
irradiated to fuck!
Do ponies drink from that shit!?
The metal of your chains is no match for the metal in my veins.

all able-bodied parents are actually
out fighting galactic wars under the Queen, who left the relatively underaged Princesses to rule a world of children. Rarity's parents were deemed unfit to battle and were left behind. Twilight's parents have retired from their tours of duty.

Most consider it to be too spicy.

Even better, they swim in it.
That would be running a punchline into the ground.
@Steve: I knew you would notice! The rainrad is in the water!
@Lurker: You know, it's easy to assume that RD is just doing it for the attention, but when you think about it, she really does care. I mean, when Scootaloo finally talks to her, Dash barely hesitates at all to tell Scoots about her own weakness, which given her need for approval is something she rarely if ever does.
