This show proves that sprite art can be good if you aren't lazy and have properly extended art assets :P There's a reason why the best sprite webcomics use custom art.

Um, vector art is incredibly different than sprite art, since sprite art is drawn pixel by pixel.

@Purple: Depends on the episode. For this one it was the voice actors for Spike, Rarity, Celestia, Pinkie/Fluttershy, Jayson Thiesson and two other Hasbro producers whose names I forget. They actually talked a fair bit about how using Flash affected the production of the show. I don't know much about animation, but it was fairly interesting how they could use layer overlays and stuff to make the backgrounds more dynamic and such. Although the water in the Steven Magnet scene was apparently a pain in the ass.

Er... Leveling a building isn't impressive for pony. Rainbow Dash did it easily. Big Mac riped out a two story house and dragged it practically effortlessly. In fact, as a filly, Rainbow Dash shook a mountain and split rock at a distance. A super earth pony would manage much more than that.

So they went for something a bit more stylized. It actually kind of reminds me of Wind Waker for some reason, now that I think about it.

It really does look quite Wind Waker esque, now that I think about it.

Also, these are endlessly amusing if you read them in Cheerilee's voice.

@Sereg Using Rainbow Dash's presumably one of a kind ability (at least within her generation) as a benchmark is rather unfair. If we take Twilight as a comparison instead, she could probably lift a house, but the effort would be incredibly exhausting to her.

There's a big difference between dragging something behind you, and having something sitting on your back for an extended period of time. We don't know how long he was holding it up, and even if it wasn't that heavy after half an hour or so of holding it up it would really start to hurt.

@ Lurker: She can definitely flip her tree house thing.

@ JT: I just think Big Mac being powered up by Love Magic (as he also is in Lesson Zero) makes more sense than random farmer happens to be super Earth Pony who has trouble with cakes, old plows, barns and whatever injured him in Applebuck Season.

Fine. Let's put it another way. We know from Return of Harmony that Twilight can physically lift multiple tons. However, she can't even budge the snowplows from Winter Wrap Up while the earth stallions were managing easily.

Also, we know from Fall Weather Friends that Aplejack is much stronger than Rainbow Dash.

EDIT: Dude. Everything in Equestria is overpowered. Even the butterflies have Super Strength and Mind Control.

@Bad I don't think that fake love would be empowering. Not to mention that the whole love power thing is more likely to be a specific ability of Cadance (to give to others) and the Changelings (to feed on for themselves) than something that just happens to any pony.

No one's claiming that they can tow mountains, just that they can do things that even a unicorn as strong as Twilight can't do.
