I mean, it's obvious that neither sister actually NEEDS their guards, but they must keep them around for a reason, and since Luna's the one acting all "royal and proud of it" in this episode, you'd think the presense of some Royal guards at her sides would kinda complete the effect she's going for

I like her, she's more fun then Fanon Luna who is rather passive. Then again, Fanon usually s death of fun so...

She's awesome. She's, well, she's like I imagined in some ways. Like, she is socially behind by 1000 years, but I didn't think of what that would mean for royalty, so it was a nice surprise. And her nasty little temper fits with her backstory, but she's certainly trying to be liked.

...was anyone else really saddened by the line "They have never liked me. And they never shall."?

Fanon Luna was terrible and made me kind of hate the character. It was mostly creepy fanboys delighting in her crying forever. Canon Luna is great so far. Ham beats emo.

As for Pinkie, my guess was that she assumed Luna was having fun, too. The only real jerkass was Dash, because she didn't care when called out on a prank making someone sick. Interestingly enough, in Griffon the Brush Off, Pinkie was concerned about that and immediately asked if Spike was okay.

It reminds me of Riff Raff of Rocky Horror Picture Show. How soon until artists draw that?

I enoyed her immensely. I actually thought this version of her was way better than any fanon version I'd seen or heard of before.

The fact that she actually had DECENT character flaws was a plus. Her insane temper, her Arrogance, her self entitled nature. They were all fascinating.

Isn't there a line about her sister at some point as well?

Yeah, but Dash being kind of a jerk is more in character for her, unlike Pinkie ignoring when she's hurting someone's feeling.

And Dash gets her comeuppance in the episode.

I liked the episode. Even when Luna was upset, she was hammy. It looks like the elements of harmony suck out ham.

Maybe Luna's voice was soft until recently, hence why Celestia didn't say anything. She yelled so much as Nightmare Moon it sapped her voice

Fanon or Canon Luna? Off course Canon Luna. I allways prefer canon especialy if it's so good like MLPFIM canon. Both Canon Princess are far superior to any fanon of them.
