Yeah, I think Cadance has displayed powerful abilities beyond what a typical unicorn is capable of. My personal take is that she's the same type of pony as Celestia and Luna, just a lot younger.
Otherwise I have nothing to look forward to on the weekends except harder work.
I always have to look forward to not actually getting anything done despite all the freetime and the tons of things I want to do.

[WMG] Cadence has a rare ability that makes her a more powerful flier the worse she gets injured. Scootloo shares this trait as well, explaining her inability to fly under normal circumstances. Some day, she'll get beat up and almost die, only to pull off a Sonic Scootaloom and save the day.

Crackerjack is pretty good, yes.
Not saying she isn't powerful in her own right, possibly another trait of that mutation, and never said she couldn't fly, she clearly can use her wings. But she might not have a pegasus' weather control abilities.

Regarding Cadence I lean toward the "wings and horn, more a rare mutant than a demigod" side. The crazy-powerful shit she's done has more to do with her affinity for love,
which has already been established to do crazy-powerful shit. Probably some connection to the Crystal Empire, as well— some monarch or noble who escaped the city before it went down, from whom she's descended?
