I wish we could have seen their Oh Crap expressions for a bit longer in-show. This will do nicely, though.

This is basically how I see it, though I think they age faster than that.

We know that Cadance was an adolescent in Twilight's flashback (well, the Lunaverse disagrees, but whatever), but we don't know how long she was an adolescent for or how long it took her to become an adolescent. We already know that alicorns age slowly.

I also think that she's currently going through a growth spurt and so is Luna (though they're at different points on the spurt). Luna'll eventually be as big as Celestia.

I do think that Cadance is only a demi-alicorn though, with only one alicorn parent whereas Luna and Celestia have two alicorn parents and are more powerful and age slower.

Exerting herself, Cadance could rip the planet in half whereas Celestia could vapourise the solar system.

Cadance is 180 whereas Celestia is 2900.

Given that Celestia lost in a battle of power to Chrysalis, a Changeling Queen who wasn't using any sort of amplifier or evil magic and just feeding off the love of one stallion for his fiancee... somehow I doubt Celestia could 'rip the planet in half', let alone Cadence, under any circumstances.

There's no denying that she's incredibly powerful; she's a goddess. But I think your sense of scale is a bit off.

Agreed with Red, those power level numbers look more like they belong to Lauren Faust's Creator-class avatar pony.

Celestia, Luna and Cadance all bow to Lauren.

Lauren can't talk too loud in Equestria because her Royal Canterlot Voice would raise new lands and change the face of the world.

You're making assumptions about Chrysalis's power level. She's way stronger than Cadance even when she's not well fed. Also, Celestia was holding back.

I don;'t think that being capable of destroying the solar system is even considered perticularly impressive in Equestria.

Remember, that Celestia controls the Sun practically effortlessly. Discord is way more powerful than my estimation of Celestia. He at the very minimum from the show has high level reality warping with a minimum range of one astronomical unit. That's ignoring all the other powers he had.

Yeah, a lot of people think Celestia was holding back against Chrysalis. The theory is that she could have vaporized Chrysalis easily, but she would have vaporized every other pony in the immediate vicinity, as well.

I like to think that Celestia was going for a non-lethal KO, but underestimated Crysalis. To be fair, I don't think Crysalis knew her strength either, looking at her reacton to winning.

I like concept of powerful Celestia but not that powerful. Only creature who could destroy planet is probably only Discord.

Controling Sun or Moon could be used to destroy planet but crashing one on each other, but it's not a same.

Ido thgink that Chrysalis was in Celstia's league at least, though. (Yes, I believe that at a minimum, that beam would have blown up the sun).

I am of the opinion that every race has an equivalent to alicorns and Chrysalis is one of them (hive monarchs as I call them) for changelings. And yes, many of them are even stronger than Celestia. The draconequii (yes, more than one)for a start.

But, yeah, to give ou an idea of how powerful some think Celestia is, in the Pony POV Series, in her true form, Celestia is accausal, time travels, has multilocality, dimension hops, reality warps, the list goes on.

Also, if you were to somehow manage to properly kill her, as opposed to merely destroying her body (good luck even managing that), every star in the multiverse (including our universe) would retroactively be erased from existence

And she is no where near the most powerful alicorn.

I disagree with that level of power, preferring instead what was seen in the Song of Syhlex.

I don't like of Celestia being that godlike but it sound much better that what other fanfics treat her. Maybe I check this fic out.

And No, detroying planet may not be easier than moving sun. That depend on how world work in setting. And here moving Sun looks like same job as moving Moon.
