Well, spoilers are a tricky area, in all honesty.
You know, I was sure that the end of the Pinkie episode would reveal that the one Pinkie left over was a duplicate after all. It was the original Pinkie. How so? Because she decided to just go to sleep on the floor. It had been previously established in "Party Of One" that Pinkie can get tired and exhausted. Since the duplicates had limitless energy and apparently had to have fun every minute, it was real deal after all.

It's been a long weekend, and lately I've been way more lax about avoiding spoilers. (Which is to say, I don't really care anymore.)
I'll probably get around to watching the Pinkiepocalypse tomorrow or something.

Them being returned to the pool doesn't help much as they were created with bodies and personalities for the purposes of existing outside the pool. No matter if that was their original environmet, they aren't meant to be there anymore. They're like dingos. It's an And I Must Scream situation.
So, the last episode was mostly very well liked, but it creeped out a few people?
Wow, it really is this season's lesson zero. ^_^
But different people. For example, I considered Lesson Zero to be the greatest thing to ever appear on television. (I still believe that, only Hurricane Fluttershy and A Canterlot Wedding took its throne).
Whereas Too Many Pinkie Pies... not.

Hmmm, it's tricky to argue the case here, lol.
On the other hand, even in G1 the ponies have never really had any moral quibbles around straight-up killing any serious threats to their safety.

Not true. We see the first clone cross through the pool from its perspective, and it most certainly existed before hand. Twilight's spell put them back in their own world where they belong.

I'd disagree. To me it looked like Twilight was reducing the clone to whatever base components made it and then those went into the pool. Effectively killing it.

The spell looks to me like it compresses the spatial watchamacallit from the outside, then sends the contents beck to its origin point in the source realm. Spatial compression doesn't hurt as long as the internal geometry isn't broken.

@Ace Yeah. Consider that the rest of the clones we see made just climb out of the pool, no climbing in. I'd say it makes it pretty clear that they are climbing out from somewhere they existed beforehand.

Isn't the hoof just one big unit, though? It's too wide to press a small key without also hitting the other keys. Unless you have like something stuck to you hoof to hit one key at a time or something.

The Pinkie clones were constructed out of bubblegum, ice lolly sticks, elastic bands and pixie dust. Therefore, killing them is a-ok.
