Isn't the hoof just one big unit, though? It's too wide to press a small key without also hitting the other keys. Unless you have like something stuck to you hoof to hit one key at a time or something.

My hooves are too big and my wings are behind me. I don't have a lot of options. Look this is what happens when I use my hooves zsxjszexze, ksxsxzk, o9w3. But with my tongue I just say, "Hello everypony." then boom its on the screen.
